On Monday, 19th April 2021 a Parental Focus Group met to discuss the Transition process in the Greater Lisburn area. This provided the environment for parents to collaboratively share their ideas on how Post-19 provision could be improved to meet their son / daughter’s needs.
The meeting was attended by many parents representing oncoming school leavers, school leavers in their final year at school and past school leavers. Lisburn and Castlereagh City Councillor Alderman Amanda Grehen also attended the meeting to directly hear these expressions, from a Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council perspective.
Following this meeting the Live Life Well-Being Centre journey began.
On the 1st September 2021 we will be excited to officially start the programme with a group of young adults between 19-27 years old.
Our temporary base location is in First Dunmurry Non Subscribing Church Hall, 23 Glebe Road, Dunmurry. The late Very Reverend William McMillan MBE (died Jan 2020) was awarded an MBE for his services to charity, over his 54 year ministry. The Church continue to be great supporters of community initiatives and we are grateful for the use of their facilities.
We anticipate that within the year we will have established our permanent base location.

"do not worry too much about the building for now. It is not the building that is important, it is the people, their vision, their skills and talents that is important".
